FAQ How many books a year do you publish? We are currently publishing one major project annually but expect to increase to semi-annually by the end of next year. Who carries or distributes your books? Although we are small in size, our books are well distributed -- they enter the distribution system in Ohio with Atlas Books where they move onto distributors in other countries as well as to the large USA wholesalers: Ingram and Baker & Taylor. The latter two then supply the books to bookstores, schools and libraries. If the demand is there, our distribution system can supply books to any bookseller or library in the USA, and most of those in Canada, Europe and Australia. Are books distributed from Canada? No -- our distributor Atlas Books is located in the USA, so that is where distribution of our books start off -- in the USA... Ashland, Ohio to be specific. We want a particular machine/robotic application designed. Can you help us? Probably not. We are very small and only work on a limited number of very focused, niche projects. What is the area of your machine/robotic application design? Artificial intelligence. We are knowledgeable in electronics, mechanical and control engineering, but only do work that is related to intelligent control systems. Do you do HCI work? Yes. We focus on both artificial intelligence and natural intelligence, and do work on the human-computer interactions between the two. Will you publish my book? Probably not. We are so small we that we currently only publish one book a year. Please see the submissions page for more information. Please don't send a full manuscript to us. It's better to write a letter or e-mail first. Are you recognized as a real publisher? Surprisingly yes. We are a full member of the Independent Book Publishers Association. We are distributed in the mainstream USA and foreign book distribution systems. As well, a number of smaller, more obscure organizations recognize us as a valid publisher, eg, International Thriller Writers, etc. Do you have your own ISBN prefix? Yes, it is 978-1-894689 Do you have a credit rating with Dun & Bradstreet or other credit organization? No. We are a private company and don't reveal financial information even to D&B and other such organizations. However at the time of writing we have no long-term or short-term debts or other liabilities. Are you allowed to call a book "I, robot"? Yes.
